How to boot Windows 10 in Safe Mode from Startup, Start windows 10 in safe mode, enable the F8 boot options menu in Windows 10

How to boot Windows 10 in Safe Mode (Using F8 key) - If you can login in windows 10 then its very easy to reboot system in safe mode but if windows gets corrupt and you get not successfully boot windows 10 then you can follow below step to get safe mode using F8 key -

Step 1 - Use windows 10 bootable USB drive.

Step 2 - Change BIOS setting to boot computer from USB drive or press a key (which will give you option to boot computer from USB drive) to boot from USB . Choose "repair your computer" from below -

Step 3- It will ask few options, choose suitable options - Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt.

At the command prompt, enter below commands and restart computer. After this you will be able to boot windows 10 in safe mode using F8 Key.

bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy

exit

Step 4- Now when your computer start keep pressing F8 during the boot process. Once it has been detected, you'll see the boot options menu where you can boot directly in to safe mode:-

In future if you want to disable or reverse this process use following command on the command prompt -

bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy standard

Now Windows 10 default faster boot will enable and F8 key will not give option to go in safe mode.

What is MS-DOS (Microsoft Disk Operating System)? Introduction to MS Dos Operating System. Microsoft Disk Operating System (MS-DOS) is an operating system developed for PCs with x86 microprocessors in Hindi

MS DOS stands for "Microsoft Disk Operating System. MS-DOS originally written by Tim Paterson एवं बाद मे August 1981 मे Microsoft ने introduce किया था | MS-DOS allows the user to navigate, open, and otherwise manipulate files on their computer from a command line instead of a GUI like Windows.

MS-DOS एक text based/Command Line OS है इसमे यूजर को keyboard से commands इनपुट देने होते थे व् output भी केवल text format मे मिलता था | लेकिन बाद मे MS-DOS को simple व् user friendly बनाने के लिए कुछ प्रोग्राम बनाये गए जिसमे mouse एवं graphics को include किया गया | इसको Disk OS ओस कहते है क्योकि इसको जब बनाये गया था तब every time जब भी कंप्यूटर स्टार्ट होता था तब इसको फ्लॉपी डिस्क से कंप्यूटर मेमोरी मे लोड किया जाता था | इस OS को x86 microprocessors वाले PCs के लिए बनाया गया था | जिसमे की सभी कमांड टेक्स्ट फॉर्मेट मे इनपुट दिए जाते है

एक टाइम मे Disk OS सबसे ज्यादा use होने वाला OS था | लेकिन इसको धीरे धीरे Windows के ग्राफ़िक OS ने replace कर दिया |

Charles Babbage जो की mechanical engineer and polymath थे उन्होंने ही programmable कंप्यूटर का concept invent किया था इसलिए ही उनको father of computer भी कहा जाता है | उन्होंने ही first mechanical कंप्यूटर को invent किया और उसका concept दुनिया के सामने रखा |

Charles Babbage ने 1822 मे Difference Engine के concept पर काम करना शुरू किया एवं 1832 मे इसको complete किया जिसको की first automatic computing machine कहा गया | Revolutionary difference engine बनाने किए बाद 1833 मे उन्होंने realize किया की इसको और भी अच्छा general एवं Analytical engine डिज़ाइन बनाया जा सकता था | Charles Babbage ने 1837 मे एक improved general mechanical computer, the Analytical Engine प्रेजेंट किया | इस Analytical इंजन मे Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU), basic flow control and integrated memory थी |

Three ways to clear or reset BIOS / CMOS setup -

1. Go to BIOS Setup and find "load setup defaults"

2. Open your PC box or "laptop back cover" and find CMOS battery on the mother board. Remove battery and after few minutes mount again.

3. Find jumper settings on the mother board and reset it.

CMOS is short form of complementary metal oxide semiconductor and pronounced see-moss. CMOS बहुत जयादा use मे आने वाला सेमीकंडक्टर है | CMOS NMOS (negative polarity) and PMOS (positive polarity) सर्किट्स use करता है लेकिन at any given time एक बार मे इनमे से एक ही circuit type On रहता है | CMOS chips को कम power की जरुरत होती है इसलिए ही ये battery-powered devices मे ज्यादा use आती है जैसे की portable computers.

इस प्रकार CMOS, computers board पर battery powered semiconductor chip होती है जो की information store करके रखती है | यह system time, date से लेकर कंप्यूटर की system hardware settings तक हो सकती है | जब आपका कंप्यूटर start होता है तो BIOS इसमे store information को use करती है |

Safe Mode, windows का एक troubleshooting option होता है जो की कंप्यूटर को limited state मे स्टार्ट करता है | जब computer को safe mode मे start किया जाता है तो केवल basic files and drivers लोड होते है | Safe Mode स्टार्ट करते वक़्त computer केवल necessary resources and ड्राइवर्स को लोड करता है | सेफ मोड मे विंडोज low screen रेसोलुशन एवं third-party startup programs को load करना avoid करता है |

Safe Mode troubeshooting के लिए essential tool है कभी कभी malware या virus से infected computers को safe mode मे boot करके troubleshoot किया जाता है | कभी कंप्यूटर मे कोई buggy drivers or software इनस्टॉल हो जाने के बाद कंप्यूटर normal state मे स्टार्ट नहीं होने पर भी Safe Mode मे कंप्यूटर को बूट करके buggy driver / software को identify करके disable or remove किया जा सकता है |

How to Start Computer in Safe Mode -

Windows 7 and earlier versions: Press F8 key while the computer is booting, then select Safe Mode in the menu that appears.

Windows 8: Hold Shift and click Restart on the Power menu on either the login screen.

Windows 10: Hold Shift while clicking Restart on the power options menu from the Start Menu.

MS-DOS External Commands वो commands होते है जो की COMMAND.COM file मे included नहीं होते | External Commands को disk residents commands भी कहा जाता है क्योकि इन कमांड्स को जरुरत के अनुसार किसी भी disk मे स्टोर किया जा सकता है |

External commands को external इसलिए भी कहा जाता है क्योकि इनको ये commonly used commands नहीं है एवं इनको execute होने के लिए large requirements होती है |

MS-DOS मे दो तरह से कमांड्स execute होते है internally and Externally | Internal Command MS-DOS के Commands होते है जो की सिस्टम मेमोरी मे स्टोर होते है एवं COMMAND.COM file मे save रहते है |

इसमे DOS के मोस्ट कॉमन कमांड्स includes रहते है जैसे की COPY and DIR. Commands जो की other COM files, or in EXE or BAT files मे रहते है, are called external commands.

जब OS load होता है to Internal Commands automaticlly OS के साथ मेमोरी मे लोड हो जाते है, इसलिए ही इनको memory residents command भी कहते है | इन कमांड्स को प्रॉपर्टीज के accoding group किया हुआ है -
